As an Asset Controller, you will play a key role in ensuring the effective management and control of the company’s LPG cylinders, tanks, and associated assets. You will be responsible for safeguarding these assets by leading and supporting investigations into loss, misuse, or unauthorised handling, helping to protect and recover company property. This role is integral to improving asset visibility and control as the business continues to grow, ensuring we remain commercially efficient while maintaining a proactive and robust investigations function. This is a hybrid position, combining office, remote, and site‑based work. Regular travel to Flogas sites, customer premises, waste facilities, and other locations is an essential part of the role, often at short notice.
You will also work closely with customers and sales teams, supporting strong relationship management, customer engagement, and commercial outcomes through effective asset management. We are looking for someone who is highly flexible and adaptable, able to respond to changing priorities and ensure key objectives are consistently achieved.
Key Responsibilities- Ensuring that the LPG cylinders, tanks and other assets of the company are controlled effectively, and owning the end-to-end control of Flogas company assets.
- Monitor cylinder turn, allocations; draw vs volume growth, etc. by customer and sector.
- Liaise with sales teams and/or customers directly to ensure good management, including annual reviews with large distributors & national accounts.
- Proactively build and maintain customer relationships, supporting sales teams with engagement and account growth.
- Review with Site Managers through regular site visits.
- Support, advise and monitor Operations in the timely retrieval of Flogas cylinders from the waste stream and from ex‑customers.
- Liaise and cooperate with waste management industry representatives to resolve issues relating to Flogas cylinders.
- Liaise and cooperate with UKLPG, waste industry, police, legal representatives, fire brigade, port authorities and other agencies regarding the unauthorised handling, filling, use, disposal/scrapping, or export of Flogas cylinders.
- Lead, manage and support company investigations relating to the loss, theft, misuse or unauthorised handling of Flogas assets, working under and in support of the Legal function.
- Gather, collate and preserve evidence to an appropriate standard for use in legal, regulatory or enforcement proceedings.
- Attend sites, customer premises and third‑party locations as required to carry out investigations, frequently on an irregular and short‑notice basis.
