How you’ll power our business as a Project Delivery Lead:
Flogas is seeking an exceptional and experienced energy industry leader to help shape and deliver its strategic vision. This is a high-impact role suited to a candidate with an advanced technical degree and a proven track record of over 15–20 years in the energy sector, including significant experience in asset development, emerging energy technologies, and delivery of large-scale CAPEX projects. The successful candidate will have proven experience in driving complex energy infrastructure programmes and initiatives forward, the ability to translate business strategy into technical execution, and be able to influence and manage stakeholders with complex and at times, conflicting priorities. The candidate will have the ability to communicate at all levels and be able to understand and optimise these relationships.
The planned Phase 2 development is of pivotal importance to the growth aspirations of Flogas by providing access to a larger and varied marketplace for liquid fuels and a springboard for future renewable vector plans. Flogas Britain is one of the largest distributors of off-grid energy in the UK and has 40 years’ experience of providing solutions to both commercial and domestic customers, principally in the form of liquid gas. The business has a longstanding record of organic growth driven by new installations, underpinned by a strong technical engineering expertise and capability, which combined with several bolt-on acquisitions has resulted in market share increasing from 10% to over 35%.
What we’ll need from you:
The successful candidate will demonstrate visionary leadership, operational excellence, and a passion for continuous improvement. With the credibility to influence at all levels and the resilience to drive real change, you will lead cross-functional teams, manage complex programmes, and contribute to the transformation of Flogas's energy future. We’re looking for someone who combines technical expertise with emotional intelligence, strategic thinking with pragmatism, and the ability to inspire and deliver results. Professional accreditation (such as chartership or PMP) is strongly preferred.
The Avonmouth Programme is critical to and underpins the strategic ambition of the business, creating a new supply point for LPG for not just Flogas, but for the UK LPG industry, giving access to renewable derivatives of LPG to support the energy transition. The Avonmouth plan is bold, converting a National Grid LNG peak-shave facility to a cryogenic LPG storage facility, with a pipeline connecting the terminal to shore for ship importation.
What you’ll get from us:
- Discretionary Bonus
- Enhanced Pension Scheme
- Life Assurance
- EAP (Employee Assistant Plan)
- Health plans, wellbeing support, free flu jabs and Eye Care Vouchers
- Extensive discounts from loved brands and major retailers
- 25 holidays + bank holidays with 1 additional volunteering day (pro-rated based on contracted hours)
- Enhanced Family Friendly Leave
