Hours: Shift based 2pm to 10pm / Monday to Friday

How you'll power our business as a Welder

An exciting position has become available within our small welding/Fabrication Team based at Knowsley, where you will undertake general fabrication duties and welding of various pipework and other carbon & stainless-steel products.

Here at Flogas, we may have a fossil fuels background, but we're working towards delivering 100% renewable energy to our customers by 2040. We're already supporting our customers to reduce their carbon emissions, by helping them make the switch from oil to gas. We're also developing our offering for technologies such as heat pumps and solar panels, beginning to help our customers reduce their energy consumption and evolving new bio-fuels and renewable gases. Here's what you'll be doing

  • Fabrication of various 3⁄4" – 8" pipework, steel framework, pipe supports, channels etc.
  • Welding of various pipework including socket and butt welding, steel framework, pipe supports, leg channels, channels etc.
  • Reading and understanding of isometric drawings, P&ID's & GA's.
  • Be of a position where you will work from time-to-time on site (away from home) to fabricate and weld.
  • Assist with other engineering duties on site when required.
  • Be proactive in general H&S duties and standards with the workplace.

What we'll need from you

  • Have the skills, knowledge and experience to carry out coded and uncoded welding.
  • Have socket and Butt-welding experience.
  • Competent in Tig & MMA welding, BSEN ISO 9606-1.
  • Own codes in welding would be advantageous.
  • Ability and experience to use a PC with some knowledge of Excel and Word.
