As a Credit Controller, you will be responsible for timely collection of overdue debts whilst maintaining a good level of customer service. This role requires accurate information to be recorded on customer accounts and negotiate arrangements where needed.

We’re already supporting our customers to reduce their carbon emissions, by helping them make the switch from oil to gas. We’re also developing our offering for technologies such as heat pumps and solar panels, beginning to help our customers reduce their energy consumption and evolving new bio‑fuels and renewable gases. What You Will Be Doing

  • Reduction of overdue debts via a portfolio of customer accounts, to agreed targets.
  • Responsible for releasing orders in line with credit policy.
  • Responsible for placing customers on stop where necessary and removal of stops as required.
  • Reviewing credit limits and applying for increased limits.
  • Processing payments on customers’ accounts.
  • Reviewing and setting up customer Direct Debits.

  • Sound knowledge of debt collection including a variety of techniques.
  • Able to negotiate with customers to bring a satisfactory outcome to all parties in difficult circumstances.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Can demonstrate a drive to deliver results.
