How you’ll power our business as an Engineer:
Reporting to the Consumer Engineering Manager – Metered Estates through our trusted Lead Technician, you'll play a vital role in bringing LPG to life at our customers' homes and businesses. From installing and maintaining LPG equipment to making sure everything runs like clockwork, you’ll be the friendly face customers rely on.
You’ll carry out routine maintenance, inspect equipment, and install everything from LPG vessels to pipework and accessories. You’ll also handle testing, purging, commissioning, and certifying – making sure each job is done safely and to the highest standard. It’s hands-on work, with some lifting involved (don’t worry, we’ll train you), and you’ll need to be confident reading installation plans and drawings.
Here at Flogas, we may have a fossil fuels background, but we’re working towards delivering 100% renewable energy to our customers by 2040. We’re already supporting our customers to reduce their carbon emissions, by helping them make the switch from oil to gas. We’re also developing our offering for technologies such as heat pumps and solar panels, beginning to help our customers reduce their energy consumption and evolving new bio-fuels and renewable gases. Here’s what you’ll be doing:
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspection work at Flogas customers premises & Flogas LPG sites
- Carry out on site installations of LPG Vessels, pipework, and auxiliary equipment at customer sites
- Complete all required testing, purging and commissioning of equipment & issuing of certification
- Some heavy manual handling required (training will be provided)
- Ability to follow installation drawings and plans
What we’ll need from you:
- Hold a current UK category B driving licence (light vehicle up to 3.5 tonne)
- Ability to meet agreed deadlines and work overtime as required
- Willing to routinely work away from home Mon-Fri
- Good verbal and written communication & influencing skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team
- Self-motivated
- Full ACS Certification including Regulators, Meters and Vessels
- Current CSCS card
