How you’ll power our business as a Plant Technician:

  • Reporting into the Senior Maintenance Supervisor, you will initially work alongside experienced engineers to undertake the technical installations and inspections of large LPG tanks.
  • Ensure correct and safe operation of equipment and machinery using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
  • Troubleshoot and maintain site equipment in both planned and crash situations.
  • Identify faulty equipment through observation, troubleshooting, and testing metrics.
  • Source replacement parts and perform repairs.
  • Work with site operations personnel to identify bad acting equipment and identify improvement strategies to improve reliability.
  • Attend daily shift meetings to prioritize work orders and minimize downtime.

What we’ll need from you:

  • Qualified to a minimum of an NVQ Level 3 with at least 5 years post Apprenticeship experience; it would be desirable for them to be working towards or having attained a Qualified to HNC or NVQ Level 4.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Work experience on industrial process plants in the chemical or oil and gas industry would be an advantage.
  • An understanding of condition monitoring techniques and best practice lubrication practice would be an advantage to the successful candidate.
  • A strong safety and work quality attitude will be essential.
