How you’ll power our business as a Senior Project Delivery Lead:
Flogas is seeking a Senior Project Delivery Lead to lead the delivery of a landmark £100m+ energy infrastructure programme at Avonmouth. This is a 24‑month fixed-term opportunity to take full ownership of a complex, high-profile development that is central to the company’s growth ambitions and energy transition strategy. The role will focus on delivering the Avonmouth Phase 2 programme from detailed engineering through to commissioning and start-up. It requires a senior leader capable of translating strategic intent into operational delivery, while managing a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders with competing priorities.
This is a highly visible role reporting directly to the Asset Development Director, with accountability for programme delivery, technical assurance, and stakeholder engagement across the full lifecycle of the project.
Key responsibilities include:
- End-to-end delivery of the Avonmouth Phase 2 development programme
- Management of EPC contractors from engineering through execution and commissioning
- Oversight of Owner’s Engineer and Programme Management resources
- Coordination of internal technical teams and seconded specialists
- Managing interfaces with the existing Avonmouth site operations
- Engagement with external stakeholders including regulators, utilities, landowners, and local authorities
- Approval of key engineering deliverables and assurance of technical integrity
- Contribution to commercial, risk, and investment discussions
The successful candidate will be based at Avonmouth, with regular on-site presence required to effectively lead delivery and stakeholder engagement.
What we’ll need from you:
We are seeking a senior leader with a strong track record in delivering complex infrastructure or energy projects.
Essential experience:
- Significant experience delivering major capital projects within energy, infrastructure, or comparable industrial sectors
- Degree in engineering, science, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
- Professional accreditation (e.g. Chartered Engineer, PMP) desirable
- Proven track record managing large-scale EPC or multi-contractor project environments
- Experience delivering high-value CAPEX programmes (typically £100m+)
- Strong stakeholder management experience across internal leadership teams and external partners
- Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams in technically complex environments
- Experience providing technical oversight and assurance on engineering programmes
Relevant sector experience may include:
- LNG / LPG / cryogenic or hydrocarbon processing environments
- Oil & gas, utilities, terminals, or storage infrastructure
- Large-scale industrial or process engineering projects
(Experience in LNG/LPG is advantageous but not essential if supported by relevant adjacent sector expertise.)
