We've built a platform that we believe will fundamentally change how organisations work with AI. Today, millions of professionals rely on AI every day, yet most usage remains fragmented, manual, and difficult to scale. We believe the next generation of software will be defined not by individual AI models, but by how organisations transform AI from a tool into a reliable way of working. At Floetic, we're creating software that helps organisations unlock greater value from AI by making its use more structured, repeatable, and scalable. We're currently operating in stealth mode with a working product, established technical foundations, and plans to launch in the coming months. This is an opportunity to join at a formative stage and help shape the future of a company tackling one of the most significant shifts in software and productivity.
The Opportunity
We are looking for a Founding CTO to join the company on a part-time, equity-based basis until external funding is secured. This is a rare opportunity to join at an early stage and help shape both the technology and the business. You will work directly alongside the Founder to define technical strategy, influence product direction, challenge assumptions, and help build a venture-scale company from the ground up. The product is already built and operating, with core architecture and technical foundations in place. We are looking for a technical leader who can help scale the platform, strengthen engineering decisions, and prepare the business for its next phase of growth. The role is expected to transition into a full-time CTO position following a successful fundraise.
What You'll Do
- Define and own the long-term technology vision and architecture.
- Act as a strategic partner to the Founder across product, engineering, fundraising, and company-building.
- Lead technical decision-making across platform architecture, infrastructure, scalability, security, and reliability.
- Contribute directly to product development through hands-on engineering.
- Help shape the evolution of our AI capabilities, orchestration systems, and platform infrastructure.
- Evaluate emerging technologies, AI models, frameworks, and development approaches to ensure the platform remains technically competitive.
- Establish engineering standards, development processes, testing practices, and operational excellence.
- Support investor conversations, technical due diligence, and technology roadmap discussions.
- Help recruit, mentor, and build the future engineering organisation.
What We're Looking For
- Significant experience building and shipping modern SaaS products from concept through to production.
- Strong software engineering background with expertise in backend systems, APIs, cloud infrastructure, and scalable distributed architectures.
- Hands‑on experience with Python, Node.js/TypeScript, and modern web application development.
- Experience building products that leverage Large Language Models (LLMs), AI infrastructure, machine learning technologies, or intelligent automation systems.
- Strong understanding of modern cloud‑native architecture and software engineering best practices.
- Experience designing secure, resilient, and scalable systems.
- Ability to balance technical ambition with commercial and operational realities.
- Comfortable operating in an early‑stage startup environment with ambiguity and limited resources.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Previous experience as a Founder, Technical Co‑Founder, Founding Engineer, CTO, or senior engineering leader.
- Experience building AI‑native products or platforms from zero to one.
- Familiarity with workflow systems, automation platforms, developer tools, productivity software, or knowledge management products.
- Experience with AWS, serverless architectures, event‑driven systems, and modern DevOps practices.
- Exposure to machine learning pipelines, model evaluation, retrieval systems, orchestration frameworks, or AI infrastructure.
- Experience hiring and leading engineering teams in high‑growth environments.
Why Join?
AI is creating one of the largest technology shifts of our generation. While most companies are focused on building increasingly powerful models, we believe the larger opportunity lies in helping organisations turn AI into a reliable and scalable way of working. As Founding CTO, you will play a defining role in shaping the product, technology, culture, and direction of the business. You'll have the opportunity to work on challenging technical problems, influence company strategy, and help build a category‑defining company from its earliest stages.
Compensation
- Meaningful founding equity package.
- Flexible part‑time commitment while the company remains pre‑funding.
- Opportunity to transition into a full‑time CTO role following investment.
- Significant influence over product strategy, technical direction, and company outcomes.
- Opportunity to help build and lead the future engineering organisation.
