Hunter James Recruitment are assisting our client - a well-established organisation within the Automotive industry with their search for a Workshop Controller to join their fantastic team within their site in Swindon.
The Role
- Day to day management of the Workshop and Service department.
- Improve and optimize on standards / performance of the service team through effective performance management and development.
- Cultivate successful business culture focused on customer service excellence, customer retention and new business for both workshop and parts.
- Optimize and improve customer service standards and ensure the departments run in accordance with company standards and key performance indicators.
- Operating to achieve a very high KPI standard including MOT Pass Rate / Breakdown results whilst maintaining the company’s standard at all times.
- Increase efficiency, effectiveness and profitability of the depots.
- Regular review resources in order to meet all servicing requirements to ensure that key performance indicators are met consistently reviewing labour efficiency, labour sales, cost of sales, debtors.
- Carry out internal audits to ensure depots are fully compliant in terms of both ISO and Health & Safety.
- Reporting directly to directors and keeping all parties updated with constant communication.
- Maximise commercial opportunities through developing and implementing campaigns within specific market sectors.
- Advise on the need for investment if and when required within the depots.
- Arrange and attend regular depot meetings to allow for a clear communication channel as well as building great team relationships.

- Experience within the Automotive Sector.
