THE ROLE
As Flock continues to redefine commercial insurance through realātime data and AI, attracting and retaining exceptional talent is critical to our success. We are looking for a Talent and Performance Partner who will sit at the heart of this challenge ā owning and evolving our hiring strategy in line with Flockās 1% initiative, while rethinking and building how we define, measure and develop high performance.

Partnering closely with the CEO and people managers, youāll help build highāperforming teams with clarity, accountability and outstanding output, embedding AIāfirst and performanceādriven people practices as we scale.

- Talent Acquisition
- Lead Flockās endātoāend hiring strategy, ensuring we consistently attract and hire topātier talent in line with the top 1% initiative across technical and nonātechnical functions.
- Own the full hiring lifecycle: proactive sourcing, screening, structured assessment, agency management, offer negotiation and onboarding.
- Deliver tailored hiring strategies across multiple disciplines, including leading complex, hardātoāfill and businessācritical searches.
- Proactively build and maintain pipelines of highāpotential future hires and succession planning.
- Partner with the CEO, CFO and business leaders on workforce planning, org design and hiring priorities, using data to guide decisions.
- Continuously improve hiring outcomes, reducing timeātoāhire and timeātoāfill, while improving qualityāofāhire through intelligent assessment design and structured interviewing.
- Performance & Talent Leadership
- Design, implement and own Flockās performance framework, including remuneration, progression, behaviours, calibration and feedback.
- Partner with ELT and SLT to embed performance rituals and talent reviews that meaningfully improve output quality.
- Coach and enable managers through workshops and training on hiring, onboarding, feedback, timeātoāproductivity and performance interventions.
- Identify high performers and future leaders, enabling succession planning, mobility and development.
- Work closely with the Senior People Partner to ensure performance frameworks, culture and engagement are tightly integrated.
- Talent Development & Early Careers
- Design and scale Flockās FourāSeasons Internship Programme, selecting and developing exceptional earlyācareer talent.
- Improve onboarding through a performanceāfirst lens, accelerating time to high contribution.
- Act as Flockās AI role model for Talent and Performance, identifying opportunities to automate sourcing, screening, communication, reporting and insight generation.
- Elevate Flockās employer brand through storytelling, content, events, and candidate experience excellence.
- Create practical performance documentation and playbooks (onboarding, timeātoāproductivity, promotions).
WHAT YOUāLL BRING TO FLOCK (ESSENTIAL)
5+ years experience in Talent Acquisition in fastāpaced, highāaccountability environments, in largeāscale organisations or startāups. Basic understanding of performance and people processes. Proven track record of owning fullācycle hiring across multiple functions, with a tech bias and ideally some insurance experience too. Strong strategic partner with strong collaboration skills and the ability to work closely with hiring managers to advise, prioritise and execute. Exceptional communicator both in writing and in conversation, able to influence and coach stakeholders of all levels. Dataādriven mindset, able to translate insights into actionable hiring strategies, report outcomes against objectives, and drive execution in line with our ambitious goal of hiring the top 1% talent. Deep network and leverage relationships to shape market perception, open doors to exceptional talent, and strengthen our employer brand presence. Expert at using modern tools (LinkedIn Recruiter, Lever, Metaview and more) and boolean logic to find candidates who arenāt looking. Know what great looks like in terms of talent and hold a high bar ā but also pragmatic, fastāmoving, and solutionsāoriented.

Extensive experience extending beyond TA into performance management or talent development. Experience in both agency and ināhouse recruitment. Exposure to AIāenabled recruiting or people analytics tools. Experience shaping employer branding, improving careers pages and understanding recruitment marketing. Strong understanding of DEI practices and ability to embed inclusive principles throughout the hiring process.
