We’re FloatSync, a growing London-based start-up, developing a novel plastic sorting technology, taking it from first concept to market-ready solutions. To strengthen our team, we are looking for a Junior Mechanical Engineer who enjoys taking ownership, working hands-on with hardware, and transforming ideas into functional prototypes.
Your Responsibilities:
- Design and development of mechanical components and systems
- Building, testing, and iterating prototypes (hands-on work is key)
- Turning ideas and concepts into manufacturable, real-world products
- Close collaboration with engineering and science team
- Involvement across the entire development cycle – from sketch to finished product
Your Profile:
- Strong academic background in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Ideally some initial experience in prototyping, product development, and rapid manufacturing
- Experience with CAD tools (e.g. SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Pro Eng. or similar). The preference is Solidworks.
- Hands-on mindset – you’re not afraid to pick up tools and build things yourself
- Creative, solution-oriented, and curious.
- High degree of autonomy and self-motivation
- Good English skills (working language is English)

£30,000.00 ~ £40,000.00 per annum D.O.E plus stock options
