We are looking for a Director of Engineering who is driven by the challenge of scale and the purpose of our platform. You will lead the engineering teams responsible for building innovative product features that empower women to make informed decisions about their bodies every single day.
Product Engineering & DeliveryYou’ll ensure our mobile and backend architecture supports rapid feature iteration and a flawless user experience. Champion a culture of product engineering excellence. You’ll set the standards for clean code, smart testing, and building maintainable features. You’ll define what quality looks like from the user's perspective, setting the metrics for app performance, smooth transitions, and a crash-free experience. You’ll help figure out the how behind the what. You’ll explain technical wins, risks, and trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders in a way that is clear, honest, and compelling. You’ll coach and mentor our Engineering Managers, helping them become the supportive, effective leaders their teams need. You’ll drive hiring strategy to attract top-tier talent and help scale our organization. Help your team grow by setting clear goals and development paths.
You have a solid background in software architecture, specifically for large-scale, consumer-facing mobile and web applications. You have a track record of managing other managers or overseeing multiple product-engineering teams. You have experience driving agile delivery and release management, ensuring new features roll out smoothly to millions of users without a hitch. You have experience building diverse, high-performing teams that succeed.
The salary for the role in the UK starts from GBP 160,000 gross (the final salary depends on the skills and experience of the chosen candidate). We care about craft, ship with purpose, and always raise the bar.
