400M+ downloads. 75M+ monthly users. A decade of building – and we’re still accelerating.

Flo is the world’s #1 health app on a mission to build a better future for female health. Backed by a $200M investment led by General Atlantic, we became the first product of our kind to reach a $1B valuation in 2024 – and we’re not slowing down.

With 6M paid subscribers and the highest-rated experience in the App Store’s health category, we’ve spent 10 years earning trust at scale. Now, we’re building the next generation of digital health – AI-powered, privacy-first, clinically backed – to help our users know their body better.

The job

The Design team focuses on one (admittedly huge) thing, and they do it very well…

Making sure our users have the best experience on our app!

They’re data informed researchers, innovators, content and design experts, casting a laser focussed eye over the execution and validation of our platform and its features.

With new Design leadership in place, it’s a truly exciting time to join the team. We’re building the foundations of a world-class function and anyone who joins will be building the future in the context of a hyper-growth start-up.

Design the future of everyday health, one joyful habit at a time.

At Flo, we’re launching a bold new direction — combining gamification, health data, and behavioural science to help millions of users build stronger habits and deeper self-awareness. We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer to help lead the way. You\’ll be shaping the experience behind a new experience that helps users track and reflect on their well-being over time — and crafting interactive moments that turn insight into motivation. This is your chance to define a new kind of health product: playful, emotional, and backed by science.

Your Experience

Must have:

  • 6+ years of experience designing consumer mobile apps
  • A portfolio that shows strong visual craft, clear UX thinking, and attention to details
  • High bar for interaction design — you craft emotional experiences through micro-interactions and motion
  • Comfortable creating high-fidelity prototypes to quickly test ideas and communicate intent
  • Able to clearly explain design decisions and collaborate across disciplines
  • Skilled in Figma and familiar with tools like Protopie or Principle
  • Open to feedback and iteration, with strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Designs with accessibility and inclusion in min

Nice to have:

  • Experience designing gamified or behavior-change-driven experiences
  • Experience working in health tech
  • Basic understanding of Lottie or Rive — enough to speak the same language with engineers
  • Know-how using AI and LLMs to make interesting ideas from scratch

What you\’ll be doing

You\’ll be responsible for:

  • Design playful, engaging features that help users reflect on their daily well-being and build healthy habits in the Flo App
  • Own the design process from idea to implementation — paying attention to every detail, from animation and copy to visual polish and overall impact
  • Transform complex health data into simple, understandable and emotionally resonant visuals
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, content designers, researchers, and animators
  • Contribute to the evolution of Flo’s design language and help shape new interaction and gamification patterns
  • Champion inclusive and accessible design across all experiences
