Shop Floor Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Shop Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a passion for customer service. As a Shop Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers while assisting with merchandising and maintaining an organised store environment.

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and provide assistance with their inquiries.
• Maintain an organised and visually appealing shop layout through effective merchandising.
• Handle transactions accurately and efficiently at the till.
• Employ upselling techniques to enhance customer purchases.
• Manage stock levels and assist with inventory management.
• Provide excellent phone etiquette when handling customer calls.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth shop operations.
• Demonstrate effective time management skills to prioritise tasks throughout the day.

Requirements

• Proficiency in English; bilingual or multilingual abilities, particularly in Spanish, are highly desirable.
• Strong organisational skills to maintain an orderly shop environment.
• Basic math skills for handling transactions and inventory counts.
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with customers and colleagues.
• Experience in merchandising is advantageous but not essential.
