FläktGroup Ireland is seeking a dedicated Pharma Project Manager to join our team, ensuring the continuous, reliable operation of critical HVAC and cooling systems that support our Global Pharma clients.

Purpose of the Position

The Pharma Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring the efficient handover process from sales to order managing the production workflow from the initial engineering handover through final assembly and readiness for shipment.

Main Responsibilities

  • Collaboration & Communication
    • Sales Handoff Support: Work with the Technical Sales Support team (managing client interactions) to ensure a smooth, accurate, and rapid transition of client orders into the production pipeline.
    • Supplier Coordination: Manage communication with critical sub-suppliers regarding component delivery, quality, and technical compliance.
    • Engineering Liaison: Collaborate closely with the Engineering Department to clarify technical details, and design changes etc.
  • Technical Expertise & Problem Resolution
    • Component Expertise: Maintain a thorough and practical understanding of all AHU and Chiller components (fans, coils, filters, dampers, heat exchangers, instrumentation, etc.) to make informed, technically sound production decisions.
    • Obstacle Ownership: Take full responsibility for identifying and addressing obstacles; actively manage risk and ensure problems are solved rather than deferred.
    • Resource Mobilization: While you are the decision-maker, you must be a skilled facilitator. Know exactly which internal engineers, colleagues, or sub-suppliers are the best resources to contribute to solving a technical challenge.
  • Production & Decision Making
    • Production Planning & Scheduling: Oversee and manage the daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules, ensuring all projects are delivered on time and within scope.
    • Daily Decision Authority: Serve as the primary point of contact for resolving immediate issues related to engineering queries, component shortages, manufacturing variations, and delivery scheduling conflicts.
    • Punctuality & Diligence: Maintain strict deadlines and enforce a high standard of diligence and organization across all project phases.

Basic Requirements of the Position

  • Education/Knowledge/Certification:
    • Must-Have: Technical degree (e.g., Engineering, Production Management, or equivalent qualification) with a strong foundation in mechanical or thermal systems.
    • Nice-to-Have: Understanding complex HVAC components and their integration.
  • Experience:
    • Must-Have: Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, production management, or a related operational role, preferably within the HVAC or high-precision industrial manufacturing sector.
    • Nice-to-Have: Cross-cultural management experience; Qualification in industry related role i.e. life-sciences.
  • Skills:
    • Must-Have:
      • Accountability: A strong character defined by ownership, reliability, and the unwavering commitment to seeing tasks through to resolution.
      • Decision-Making: Demonstrated ability to make timely, pragmatic, and responsible decisions under pressure.
      • Organizational Skills: Exceptional diligence, time management, and process adherence (Punctuality is essential).
      • Communication: Excellent Technical English for communication with all related stakeholders.
    • Nice-to-Have: Additional language skills.
  • Competence:
    • Strong problem-solving skills: Adaptable and resilient under pressure.
    • Excellent communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively internally within the organisation (Manager, colleagues, factories etc) and externally with clients, suppliers etc.

Working Conditions

  • Occasional travel required (visit customers (internal and external) on site or visit suppliers).
  • Working out of hours to meet client/project deadlines.
