Our client is a leading independent Corporate Finance Advisory Firm focused on Real Assets, Sustainability & Essential Services with offices globally. The firm is looking to hire a Director into their Debt Advisory Group, a team that provides debt advisory and execution services within the wider firm serving financial sponsors, corporates and developers across the real assets spectrum, including infrastructure, renewable energy, real estate and transportation sectors.

You will be an ambitious and dynamic finance professional, comfortable with debt structures across real assets, including bank, institutional and private credit structures across senior and junior debt, including project finance and fund finance. The role will involve directly managing client relationships in addition to managing lender market engagement to deliver transactions from end-to-end. You will also be responsible for leading deal teams with the oversight of a director, including day-to-day management and mentoring of junior colleagues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Support: Advising and supporting clients with debt advisory.
  • Execution Lead: Guiding and supervising the team with day-to-day management of transactions which includes preparation of information memoranda, transaction structuring, financial modelling, management presentations and execution of legal documentation, and taking responsibility for the preparation of information and client communication.
  • Business Development: Lead on new idea generation, initiatives and pitches - identifying potential target transactions and clients. Guiding the team in preparation of pitch books, memorandums, management presentations, board materials and other presentation materials for use in strategic client dialogue.
  • Relationships: Broaden the lending relationships and leveraging own network as well as picking up and strengthening existing lending relationships across banks, institutions and private credit.
  • Team Development: Support the team’s development and learning, being the role model and mentor for junior colleagues.
Candidate Requirements
  • 8+ years’ experience, from a corporate lending, risk or debt advisory function from a bank.
  • Must have Real Estate sector experience.
  • Must have excellent deal execution and business development/origination skills, with strong relationships and network across mid-market real estate developers and in the UK and Western Europe.
  • A solid understanding of technology risk, development milestones, and power price dynamics within the energy and renewables space, and project finance experience with exposure to debt products across the renewables lifecycle.
  • Strong and demonstrable track record of building and managing relationships with a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Ambitious and looking for significant career development with a commitment to continuously learning.
  • Prepared to stretch and challenge themselves and bring a great work ethic with them.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) applied internally and externally: listening, information gathering, collaborating, influencing and negotiating.
  • A strong team player and consensus builder who balances high levels of individual drive and motivation with a desire to work as part of a broader team and business, sharing information, best practices and support.
