Flisher + Partners is hiring on behalf of a major international company dedicated to offshore wind energy. The project is seeking an accomplished senior manager of Commercial functions in a Project environment.
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
Location: Hybrid (at least 2 days in London)
About The Role
The Senior Commercial Manager will play a key transversal role in the Project, leading on key workstreams such as Project Financing, Business Case and Valuation, reporting to the Project Commercial Director. As such, the Senior Commercial Manager will liaise with all other project functions.
Main responsibilities:
- Project Business Case; overseeing financial modelling, driving optimisation by liaison with technical, consents, asset package leaders and other project functions;
- Project Finance; ensuring the project is ‘bankable’ ahead of engagement with Project Finance Lenders / Advisors, engagement of and liaison with advisors. Liaison with project finance functions in shareholder organisations;
- Hedging: Liaise with packages to establish and execute hedging strategy;
- Shareholders Liaison: support Project Commercial Director in liaison with Asset Managers, notably around due diligences.
Minimum requirements:
- Highly numerate and commercially savvy.
- Degree qualified in Mathematics, Engineering or other highly numerate discipline.
- Extensive experience of large scale (750MW+) Offshore Wind Farm business case development.
- Extensive experience in project finance functions in the renewable energy sector (this may include some or all of economic evaluation, deal structuring, energy markets and trading, hedging, insurance).
- A good understanding and general experience of the Development, Construction and Operational phases of offshore wind projects.
- Experience of driving business case improvement.

- Excellent command / highly proficient in spoken and written English.
Salary: £120,000 - £140,000 depending on experience

Hybrid Working Arrangement: The position is based in the London project office and given the necessary level of cross functional interfacing of the role, the expectation is that at least 2 days per week will be in attendance at the office. There is flexibility to work from home or elsewhere at other times. Occasional business travel in the UK and possibly further afield will be required for this post.
