What you'll be involved in
TMUK Lincoln are looking for a key individual to join our Manufacturing Team based at Firth Road in Lincoln. This is a hands-on role in which the successful candidate will be working within a team of highly skilled and experienced Technicians. The Assembly & Test Operator will spend their time carrying out a range of mechanical assembly tasks in addition to production related testing. The ability to closely follow written assembly instructions, possess manual dexterity and have good attention to detail are of the utmost importance in this role to ensure the high quality of our products.
Key responsibilities of the role will include:
- Accurately maintain production data, records, assessments and manufacturing paperwork, raising change requests to keep the documentation current.
- Proactively help to manage and promote safe working in compliance with all Health, Safety and Environmental regulation, procedures and other company requirements.
- Work to meet or exceed weekly, monthly and quarterly production output targets as agreed with management.
- Complete support repair work for customer returns within agreed timescales.
- To support and be involved in changes supporting housekeeping and visual management program.
What we're looking for in you:
- High level of dexterity and attention to detail; using hand tools, soldering, and demonstrating ESD compliance.
- Ability to read and interpret technical data.
- Accurately manage own material inventory.
- Availability to work extra hours or shift work as required to meet customer demand.
While full training on use of specific equipment will be given, experience in the assembly and test of electronic assemblies in a similar environment would be beneficial. It would also be an advantage if you could demonstrate the below:
- Relevant qualifications or experience in electrical/electronic engineering.
- Knowledge of Lean tools.
- Proficient in standard Microsoft Office application.
- Experience of meeting targets in a pressurised production environment.
