Your Contribution:As a Supplier Quality Engineer for Raymarine UK Ltd your primary objective is to investigate and develop solutions to improve product quality and reliability from NPI and throughout the production lifecycle. Working in the Reliability Team you will work alongside both Engineering and Supply Chain teams to assess if supplier processes are capable of meeting design expectation. The role is exciting and varied and will rely heavily on your technical knowledge of quality, engineering and production in order to develop suppliers and help ensure ongoing quality and supply.
You will drive part quality improvements through NPI and throughout the product lifecycle. Within the role you will develop and report key quality KPI’s to the business, to confirm ongoing adherence to design requirements. The ability to communicate, collaborate and influence are all important traits required for this role.

Your Job in Plain Text:- Responsible for supplier quality and assurance
- Lead the creation and reporting of key Quality related KPI’s to the business
- Utilize quality tools and control plans to ensure suppliers meet the design and quality standards
- Be the Lead Quality consultant to the Engineering and Supply Chain teams for all quality support activities, from NPI and throughout the product lifecycle
- Ability to influence all levels of the business to promote continuous component and product improvement
- Working within the Reliability team to problem solve and address quality and supply risk
- Ability to manage quality improvement projects independently with minimal supervision
- Must be an excellent communicator, maintaining a high level of collaboration and inter-departmental teamwork
- A degree or equivalent in Mechanical, Production or Quality Engineering
- Extensive Supplier development, quality assurance and audit experience
- Detailed knowledge and use of PPAP, SPC, Control Charting, FMEA’s, and quality tools to improve part/product quality
- Knowledge of part manufacturing techniques in Electro/Mechanical industry, inc. injection Molding, die casting, fabrication, PCBA manufacturing
- Extensive experience and use of inspection tools (CMM/Optical Inspection)
- Experience working with onsite design/offshore manufacturers
- Good understanding of Microsoft software packages including MS, Excel, Power BI and SAP an advantage
- Must be willing to travel internationally as required c.25%
- Must have English as your first language for both verbal and written
- Must have the necessary technical knowledge and skill to carry out job with minimum supervision
- Full driving license
- Hold a Visa to work in the UK
