Job Overview
Raymarine is a leader in the marine electronics industry, designing and manufacturing advanced products such as radar, sonar, cameras, chart plotters, and instruments for leisure, first‑responder, and commercial vessels. As an apprentice electronics design engineer you will help develop reliable solutions across the product life cycle and collaborate with software and mechanical teams.
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing electronic solutions for cutting‑edge marine products.
- Support the team in creating and implementing new designs, gaining exposure to embedded systems, communication networks, PCB design, and high‑volume manufacturing.
- Help test new products, learning to identify and resolve design issues.
- Collaborate with experienced engineers and the product development team in design discussions and idea creation.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or qualified for a degree apprenticeship in Electronic Engineering (T‑levels, A‑levels, or equivalent).
- Basic understanding of electronics fundamentals.
- Eagerness to learn about embedded systems, networking, and analogue design techniques.
- Willingness to develop test and problem‑solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, and willingness to ask questions and learn from others.
- Ability to work on site at least 3 days per week.
