FINN Partners is on the hunt for an Associate Vice President to join our growing Corporate & Financial Services PR team. Ideally you will have four or more years’ experience in PR, marketing, content or journalism. We are looking for a PR and content pro that wants to work with a variety of companies, large and small, to craft compelling stories that inform audiences and influence behaviours – all to help our clients better meet their business objectives.

You will be a part of our Corporate & Financial Services PR team working for a range of multi-national organisations, non-profit foundations, government agencies, corporate banks, fintechs and investment bodies. You’ll take the lead on servicing a range of clients, delivering high-quality media results that meet and exceed client goals. The AVP will devise creative corporate strategies that utilise traditional and digital/social media and will develop client content, including media materials, online content, media pitches, bylines and Q&As, and participate in media outreach.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of clients’ businesses.
  • Manage day-to-day implementation of programmes.
  • Develop and cultivate relationships with clients and external audiences.
  • Develop long-term plans and programme recommendations.
  • Manage and develop junior staff.
  • Develop contacts with potential clients – build own new business pipeline.
  • Write and present new business proposals, or portions of proposals.
  • Develop and track budgets.
  • Manage account administration duties such as billing and financial reporting.
  • Develop sophisticated messages and tactics that align with the objectives set forth by the client.
  • Produce client content in a range of formats, including bylines, whitepapers/reports, case studies, website copy and event write-ups.
  • Review materials (e.g. pitches, press releases, articles, awards submissions, and newsletters) prepared by staff working on their accounts.
  • Anticipate, respond to and develop materials on complex issues.
  • Cultivate positive client presence in all media through releases.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communications between the client and account team.
  • Develop complete communications plans for clients.
  • Develop regular reports for clients showing FINN Partners’ value-add to the overall communications/business plan.

  • Ability to develop and track budgets.
  • Ability to mentor staff members and develop them professionally.
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills.
  • Skilled at developing and delivering presentations.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective interpersonal relationships.
  • Availability to travel as needed to off-site meetings.
  • At least four years’ experience, preferably within an agency or in-house.
  • At least a 2.1 degree.
