To assist the Community Learning & Development Officer in the delivery of community based, group learning programmes to young people in a variety of locations.

South Ayrshire Council Thriving Communities are currently recruiting Senior Youth Worker positions within the following localities:

  • Post A: Ayr North
    • 5 posts 2 hours per week with an annual salary, adjusted to a term time work pattern from £1,234 to £1,308
    • 1 post 3 hours per week with an annual salary, adjusted to a term time work pattern from £1,851 to £1,962
    • 1 post 3.5 hours per week with an annual salary, adjusted to a term time work pattern from £2,160 to £2,289
  • Post B: Ayr South
    • 1 post 5 hours per week with an annual salary, adjusted to a term time work pattern from £3,086 to £3,270
  • Post C: North & South Carrick
    • 3 posts 2 hours per week with an annual salary, adjusted to a term time work pattern from £1,234 to £1,308
    • 1 post 2.5 hours per week with an annual salary, adjusted to a term time work pattern from £1,543 to £1,635
  • Post D: Troon & Prestwick
    • 1 post 2 hours per week with an annual salary, adjusted to a term time work pattern from £1,234 to £1,308

This post is considered to be Regulated Work with children as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) (PVG) Act 2007. Accordingly, the preferred candidate will be required to become a member of the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update if already a Scheme member, prior to any formal offer of employment being made.
