Putting Good Governance at the Heart of the Council. The Council is looking for someone who can support and improve the Internal Audit Service, a Principal Auditor with significant people management skills and audit experience gained in the public and private sector. Well‑developed communication, interpersonal and influencing skills are essential.
Our successful candidate will have experience in risk‑based audit, data analysis, advisory and consultancy work and a demonstrated ability to help deliver the planned work programme. You will contribute to the achievement of the Council Plan by providing advice to Senior Managers on Governance, Risk and Internal Controls.
Applicants will be a qualified Member of the Chartered Institute of Internal Auditors (CMIIA) or CCAB qualified (CIPFA, CA, ACCA). Welsh speaking and writing skills are desirable.
