Flintridge Resources is looking for a competent and enthusiastic Junior or Graduate Geotechnical Engineer to join our underground mining team. You will be joining a small team of skilled individuals where you will assist the other members of the mine technical team with:
- Data collection from the working faces
- Assessment of working faces, drives and stopes
- Formulation of ground support plans
- Ensuring compliance with current ground control measures
- Management of ground support consumables
The Junior Geotechnical Engineer will function as part of the team to ensure that collective goals are met, and standards maintained. As part of a small team, you will have the opportunity to gain a wide variety of experience and the support to work towards professional accreditation.
Job Requirements:
- A recognised BSc or MSc in Geotechnical Engineering.
- Right to work within the UK.
- Full UK driver’s license (preferably clean) and own transport.
- High level of computer literacy.
- Willingness to join site mine rescue team.
- Experience with CAD, GIS, Deswik and other computer systems.
- Some exposure to the underground environment and an understanding of what is required of an underground geotechnical engineer.
The Junior Geotechnical Engineer must abide by the site’s health, safety and environment rules and follow all risk assessment, policy and procedures.
