My client, a global telecoms provider is currently looking for an experienced Lab Infrastructure test engineer to do the following:
- Develop automation test scripts for our next generation converged products and services.
- Maintain and improve CPE platform test environments.
- Deliver resolutions to problems that tend to be complex, cross-domain or of high impact to customers.
- Provide technical quality assurance over work of other engineers through Matrix team structure.
- Work effectively as part of Agile delivery squads.
- Use scrum/JIRA/Wiki for tracking agile workflow deliveries.
- Support proactive improvement initiatives.
Skills and experience
- Strong knowledge of Python.
- Knowledge of VMs and Containerisation.
- Knowledge of Linux and Docker.
- Experience maintaining and improving CPE platform test environments.
- Using code revision, issue tracking and continuous integration tools, i.e. Git, JIRA, Gitlab.
- Good knowledge of Agile delivery methods and tools, e.g. scrum/JIRA/wiki.
- Good knowledge of Broadband/Home Gateway standards, e.g. xDSL, FTTP, IPv4/IPv6, PPP, Wi-Fi, UPnP, 4G/5G mobile networks.
- Good understanding of RF fundamentals and wireless networking concepts.
- Ability to clearly communicate complex technical material.
- Ability to self-develop in required areas.
