Responsibilities
- Lead technical guidance for 5G NTN architecture, integration, and protocol behaviour
- Design and support E2E NTN testbeds across:
- O-RAN gNB (RU/DU/CU/RIC)
- Core Network
- Payload and feederlink systems
- Define emulator vs hardware-in-loop strategies
- Evaluate UE simulators and channel emulators
- Support NTN-specific testing:
- Doppler compensation
- Timing synchronization
- Beam hopping
- Satellite handovers
- Feederlink switchover
- Develop integration and regression test strategies
- Drive lab orchestration and automation requirements
Required Skills
- 8+ years in 5G systems engineering
- Strong knowledge in:
- RAN (RU/DU/CU)
- O-RAN
- Core Network
- UE behaviour
- Hands-on 5G NTN testbed experience
- Expertise in 3GPP Rel-17/18 NTN standards
- Experience with:
- UE simulators
- Channel emulators
- O-RAN interfaces (eCPRI, NETCONF/YANG, RIC)
- Ability to execute complex integration and validation plans
Preferred
- Experience at LEO satellite or NTN companies
- Knowledge of satellite ground systems and feederlink architectures
- Familiarity with:
- srsRAN
- OpenAirInterface
- Amarisoft
- Experience with CI/CD and lab automation
Education
- BS/MS in EE, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field.
