The predicted salary is between 60000 - 80000 £ per year.

This role is primarily remote, with occasional on-site attendance required at locations in southern cities. The engineer will act as the day-to-day operational owner of the F5 estate, covering BAU operations, incidents, changes, and lifecycle support.

Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Incident support and troubleshooting (P1-P3)
  • BAU operations and service monitoring
  • Configuration changes across LTM, DNS, ASM, and APM
  • SSL certificate management and renewals
  • WAF policy tuning and onboarding of partner services
  • DNS/GSLB traffic steering and site failover support
  • Support for upgrades, pre-prod testing, and production promotions
  • Collaboration with internal customer and vendor teams

Required Skills:

Mandatory:

  • Senior-level experience with F5 BIG-IP LTM
  • Strong hands-on experience with BIG-IP DNS/GSLB
  • ASM (WAF) policy management and tuning
  • APM/SSL VPN configuration and support
  • Ability to read, troubleshoot, and modify iRules
  • Experience supporting 24x7 production environments

Strongly preferred:

  • Service provider/telco network experience
  • Multi-site, HA and failover architectures
  • Proxy environments (forward and reverse)
  • Exposure to BIG-IQ and centralised licensing models
