Role Summary
The IT Engineer is responsible for the ongoing administration, maintenance, and optimisation of the organisation’s Microsoft ecosystem. This role ensures the stability, security, and effective use of Flint’s Microsoft 365, Dynamics, and the Power Platform, including Power Automate flows and automation implementation. The role focuses on day‑to‑day operational support—such as user and licence management—while also contributing to the continuous improvement of systems in line with the organisation’s overall IT strategy.
Main Responsibilities
- Maintain and support the Microsoft 365 environment, including Entra ID (Azure AD), Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive
- Manage user accounts, security groups, roles, and permissions
- Provision, modify, and remove user licences in line with requests and policies
- Monitor system health, security alerts, and service updates
Power Platform & Automation
- Maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot Power Automate flows
- Support and enhance Power Platform solutions (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI as required)
- Ensure automations follow best practice, security, and governance standards
- Assist in documenting and improving existing workflows and integrations
Dynamics Administration
- Administer and support the organisation’s Microsoft Dynamics instance
- Manage users, security roles, environments, and basic configuration
- Support upgrades, patches, and integrations with other Microsoft services
Operational Support & Governance
- Respond to service requests related to access, licensing, and configuration changes
- Ensure environments comply with security, compliance, and governance policies
Required Experience and Skills
- Strong experience administering Microsoft 365 environments
- Hands‑on experience with Entra ID (Azure AD), user and licence management
- Experience with Power Platform, particularly Power Automate
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics (Dynamics 365 or similar)
- Understanding of Microsoft security and governance concepts
- Experience with IT service management processes (e.g. request handling, change control)
- Proven experience in an IT Engineer, Systems Administrator, or similar role
- Experience supporting business users in a Microsoft‑centric environment
- Experience maintaining production IT systems and responding to operational requests
- Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting ability
- Clear communication skills, both technical and non‑technical
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with wider IT and business teams
- Strong attention to detail and documentation discipline

- Uptime and stability of Microsoft, Dynamics, and Power Platform environments
- Timely and accurate completion of user, access, and licence requests
- Reliability and effectiveness of Power Automate flows (reduced failures, improved efficiency)
