With offices in London, Brussels, Paris, Hong Kong, and Singapore, we operate at the intersection of government and business, helping our clients navigate political, policy, and regulatory change to deliver commercial results.
We offer a collaborative and intellectually stimulating environment where people can grow professionally while working on critical issues that shape the future of industry and society. Our work spans sectors including financial services, energy, technology, life sciences, digital infrastructure and more. We are committed to equality of opportunity and encourage applications from candidates of all backgrounds.
The Role
We are looking for a Manager to join our growing team, leading the delivery of high-quality advice and analysis across a range of policy areas. Flint Managers play a central role in our work — running project teams, contributing to client relationships, and helping to grow our business.
You will work on politically and commercially significant issues for clients across sectors. You’ll help them understand and shape policy and regulatory change, assess political risk, and develop long-term strategies. You will also play a hands-on role in managing colleagues, sharing expertise, and supporting their development. Experience in business, industrial and defence policy areas would be a bonus, but we welcome applications from candidates with backgrounds across the public policy and regulatory landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Delivery: Lead day-to-day delivery of client work — providing clear, actionable advice informed by a strong understanding of political and regulatory developments.
- Client Engagement: Support the management of client relationships, contribute to strategic advice, and help identify opportunities for further impact.
- Policy and Political Analysis: Apply deep knowledge of the policymaking process and the commercial implications of regulatory change across a variety of sectors.
- Team Leadership: Manage and support junior colleagues, delegate effectively, and help ensure high standards of quality and insight across your teams.
- Business Development: Contribute to proposals, thought leadership and the development of new opportunities with existing and prospective clients.
- Collaboration: Work across Flint teams and offices, bringing together different areas of expertise to deliver the best results for clients.
What We’re Looking For
We are seeking candidates with 5+ years’ experience in public policy, regulation, politics, or consultancy. This may include time in government, a political party, regulator, think tank, campaigning organisation, or a public affairs or strategy team.
You should be able to demonstrate:
- A strong grasp of UK public policy and regulation, and a broader understanding of how politics, regulation and economics interact in shaping business decisions.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to distil complex issues into clear, concise advice.
- Strong communication skills, including with senior stakeholders and in writing for non-specialist audiences.
- Experience of leading project teams and supporting the development of others.
- Personal drive, strong organisation, and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- A collaborative mindset and flexibility in working across policy areas and teams.
Why Flint?
- Competitive salary and generous discretionary bonus
- Private healthcare, life insurance and income protection schemes
- Pension scheme with employer contribution
- 25 days’ holiday plus bank holidays and additional days over Christmas
- Enhanced family-friendly policies
- Structured training and development
- Regular staff social events
- Cycle to work scheme and other benefits
