The role Flint is seeking a Head of Business Operations to lead the firm’s internal operational functions and drive continuous improvement across its processes, infrastructure, and governance. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this senior, hands-on role is responsible for facilities and office management, company secretarial and procurement matters, insurance, trademarks, ESG reporting, and M&A integration. The postholder will also lead and develop Flint’s international Office Management team, providing line management to Office Managers across its global locations and acting as a trusted partner to the COO.
As Flint has grown across London, Europe, and Asia-Pacific, its operational infrastructure requires greater professionalisation to support an increasingly complex, multi-jurisdictional business. At the same time, the firm’s active M&A agenda has created additional integration demands. This newly created role provides dedicated ownership of internal operations, with the opportunity to strengthen processes, governance, and ways of working to support Flint’s continued international growth.
Key responsibilities
- Lead global office operations: Manage and develop Flint’s Office Managers, ensuring consistent standards across all locations for facilities, environment, and health and safety.
- Oversee property portfolio: Lead property selection, landlord negotiations, lease management, renewals, and office expansions, relocations, and fit-outs.
- Manage facilities budgets: Ensure cost discipline and value for money across Flint’s global office network.
- Company Secretariat and Internal Procurement: Manage UK Companies House filings, UK entity support, and books management, ensuring statutory compliance across Flint’s UK legal entities. Support the set-up of new legal entities as required by Flint’s expansion into new markets. Oversee approvals and management for Flint’s own procurement activities, including lease management for equipment and services (e.g. printers, office equipment). Manage HK and Singapore bank approvals and provide support to local operational matters as required.
- Insurance (Non-HR): Manage Flint’s non-HR insurance portfolio, including professional indemnity, property and contents, and other relevant commercial policies. Own the broker relationship, conducting regular reviews to ensure Flint’s coverage remains appropriate, competitively priced, and aligned to the firm’s risk profile. Manage renewal processes across all policies, coordinating with relevant internal stakeholders to provide accurate and timely information to insurers. Maintain oversight of any additional local insurance requirements across Flint’s international offices, ensuring adequate coverage in all jurisdictions.
- Trademarks: Manage Flint’s trademark portfolio, maintaining an up-to-date register of all registered and pending marks across relevant jurisdictions. Liaise with external lawyers on trademark matters, including the registration of new marks (e.g. in the US and Australia) and the management of any disputes or challenges. Monitor for potential infringements and coordinate with legal advisers to take appropriate protective action where necessary.
- ESG Measures and Reporting: Lead ESG strategy and reporting: Own Flint's ESG measurement and reporting framework, ensuring compliance with Cinven, investor, regulatory, and stakeholder requirements. Develop ESG data and performance: Build and maintain the global data infrastructure to track ESG metrics consistently, and work with senior leadership to strengthen ESG performance and embed ESG into operational decision-making. Monitor evolving standards: Keep Flint's ESG reporting aligned with emerging regulations and best practice, ensuring the firm remains ahead of its obligations.
- Internal Queries and Operational Support: Act as a point of escalation for firm-wide operational queries and approvals, including office costs, ad-hoc expenditure, and miscellaneous internal matters. Drive continuous improvement across Flint’s internal operational processes, identifying opportunities for automation and efficiency gains. Support the COO on ad-hoc operational and strategic projects as required.

The ideal candidate will be a seasoned operations professional with experience across a broad range of internal business functions in a professional services or similarly complex environment. They will combine strong organisational and governance instincts with the leadership capability to manage an international team and drive meaningful improvements across the firm’s operational infrastructure.
Experience
- Operational leadership: Proven experience leading and improving internal operations, governance, and facilities management across a multi-site, international professional services or knowledge-intensive business.
- Risk, compliance and ESG: Experience managing commercial insurance, operational risk, and ESG measurement and reporting, ideally within a PE-backed or investor-reporting environment.
- International growth and integration: Experience supporting multi-jurisdictional operations and post-merger integration, with an understanding of the operational requirements for procurement, compliance, and entity management.
Technical Skills
- Governance and compliance: Strong understanding of UK company secretarial requirements, statutory compliance, and trademark registration and management, ideally across multiple jurisdictions.
- Operational and ESG management: Experience with operational budgeting, cost management, and ESG data collection and reporting using recognised frameworks.
- Systems and technology: Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable using document management and workflow tools.
Personal Qualities
- Ownership and commercial judgement: Takes personal accountability for the quality and reliability of internal operations, with a strong understanding of how operational decisions affect Flint’s costs, risk profile, and reputation.
- Structured and detail-oriented: Brings rigour and consistency to governance, records management, and compliance, while remaining calm and decisive when managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborative leader: Effectively manages and develops a geographically dispersed team, building strong relationships and working collaboratively across the wider firm.
Qualifications
