We are recruiting a Procurement & Third Party Assurance Assistant to join the Executive Team in Derby. The role reports to the Practice Management Solicitor & Senior Associate and is responsible for supporting the firm’s procurement activity and third-party risk management processes. The role involves ensuring suppliers and partners meet regulatory, contractual, and security standards, while monitoring value for money and operational compliance. It includes maintaining records, supporting audits, and contributing to improvements in procurement and assurance procedures. This position provides practical experience in procurement, supplier assurance, and risk management within a law firm environment. The post-holder will work closely with colleagues across the business to support operational efficiency and governance.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the end-to-end procurement process, including supplier onboarding, sourcing, contracts, and compliance with internal policies.
- Assist with supplier selection exercises, RFQs, tenders, and performance monitoring to ensure value for money.
- Maintain accurate procurement and supplier records, contracts, and assurance documentation.
- Support third-party due diligence and risk assessments, including financial, operational, data protection, and information security checks.
- Track and monitor supplier compliance with regulatory, contractual, and firm-specific requirements.
- Maintain third-party risk registers and support audits, reviews, and reporting related to supplier assurance.
- Work closely with internal teams, partners, and suppliers to support operational processes and continuous improvement.
