We are looking for a Marketing Assistant with relevant prior experience in a similar role to support the firm’s marketing and business development activities. This role is ideal for someone enthusiastic about marketing and eager to build their career within a supportive and high‑performing team. The Marketing Assistant provides day‑to‑day support to the Marketing & Business Development team, helping ensure marketing activities, events and internal processes run smoothly across the firm.

We are looking for a proactive and organised individual with a positive, can‑do attitude and a willingness to learn. The role will suit someone who enjoys being involved in a wide range of activities and is keen to gain practical experience across different areas of marketing. Working closely with a highly experienced marketing team, you will receive guidance, mentorship and hands‑on exposure to a broad mix of marketing and business development initiatives. From supporting events and digital campaigns to coordinating marketing materials and assisting with social media activity, you will play an important role in helping bring Flint Bishop’s marketing plans to life. This is an exciting time to join Flint Bishop as the firm continues to grow and expand into new national markets. Reporting to the Head of Marketing and based at our Derby offices working Monday to Friday, 36.25 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the creation, formatting and distribution of marketing materials, including brochures, newsletters, presentations and client communications.
  • Support digital marketing activity, including assisting with social media scheduling, content updates, website updates and email marketing campaigns.
  • Help coordinate events, webinars and other marketing initiatives, including liaising with internal teams, suppliers and external partners.
  • Assist with social media monitoring and engagement, helping ensure the firm’s channels remain active, consistent and aligned with Flint Bishop’s brand.
  • Maintain and update marketing databases, contact lists and the firm’s CRM system.
  • Assist in the development and scheduling of content across the firm’s marketing channels, ensuring consistency with Flint Bishop’s brand and tone of voice.
  • Conduct basic research on market trends, client activity and competitor activity to support marketing campaigns.
  • Support the monitoring and reporting of marketing activity, including campaign performance and engagement metrics.
  • Provide general administrative support to the Marketing & Business Development team, including organising materials, coordinating assets and assisting with internal marketing projects.
Skills, Knowledge And Expertise
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, accurate, and engaging content.
  • Be highly organised, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and confident using social media platforms, CRM systems, and digital marketing tools; experience with design software (e.g., InDesign) is advantageous.
  • Demonstrate a proactive, “can‑do” attitude, initiative, and a willingness to learn new skills.
  • Be a strong team player, able to collaborate effectively with colleagues and interact professionally with senior stakeholders.
  • Have some previous experience or exposure to marketing, communications or administrative work through employment, internships, university projects or similar activities.
  • Show a keen interest in marketing and professional services, with enthusiasm for supporting campaigns and business development initiatives.
