We are recruiting for a Credit Hire Paralegal or Litigation Executive to join our Insurance Litigation team.
Location: Leeds
Applications are invited from defendant or claimant fee earners or experienced credit hire paralegals with a solid track record handling your own caseload of credit hire or RTA matters. If you can deliver exceptional quality client service and share our ethos and commitment to building long-lasting client relationships, this role may be ideal for you.
Our Insurance Litigation team has previously won leading industry awards including ‘Regional Insurance Firm of the Year’ recognised by The Legal 500 and ‘Defendant Team of the Year’ at the Claims Media Personal Injury Awards. This role reports on a day-to-day basis to the Head of Insurance Litigation as head of department.
Responsibilities:
- Working alongside a team of credit hire focused individuals.
- Creatively, innovatively, and effectively manage your own caseload of matters.
- Taking ownership of your own significant caseload, from start to finish.
- Proactive use of case management systems.
- Manage specialist credit hire caseload involving complex credit hire litigated matters.
- Analyse risk and develop sound judgement to justify decisions in the management of cases.
- Prioritise work efficiently and effectively to ensure client service level agreements and deadlines are met.
Skills, Knowledge And Expertise:
- Preferably have prior supervisory experience.
- Preferably have a minimum of a 2:1 legal degree.
- Preferably have prior credit hire experience.
- Preferably have experience in a legal setting.
- Be able to work alone and manage your own caseload.
- Have a genuine desire and interest in working in a contentious area of the law.
- Have excellent time management skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines with your caseload.
- Have excellent knowledge of IT systems and processes.
- Be highly motivated.
- Be a team player and able to get on with others.
