The predicted salary is between 35000 - 45000 £ per year.
This role is responsible for managing a personal caseload of Wills, Probate, Tax & Trust matters whilst also supporting on more complex matters with senior members of the team. Responsible for liaising directly with clients and ensuring a high level of client care is provided at all times. This role reports directly to the Head of Wills, Probate, Tax & Trusts.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing general advice to clients on all aspects of Wills, Probate, Tax & Trust processes.
- Preparing lasting powers of attorney.
- Preparing deputyship orders.
- Dealing with estate administration.
- Advising on risks of death, divorce or bankruptcy in respect of lifetime gifting.
- Advising on obtaining grants of probate.
- Advising on letters of administration.
- Settling estate liabilities.
- Administering estates in accordance with the correct procedures.
- Obtaining deputyship orders from the Court of Protection as required.
- Acting on behalf of court‑appointed deputies.
- Ensure matters are kept up to date in systems and new advancements are communicated to the relevant team members.
- Record all time in the Tikit system, including non‑billable activities.
- Take responsibility for managing the client experience.
- Attend client meetings where necessary.
- Takes a keen interest in business development for the department and contributes where required.
- Supports departmental audits as and when required.
- Take on additional tasks as reasonably required by the Head of Wills, Probate, Tax & Trusts.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- You will have a minimum of 2 years PQE in a wills, probate, tax and trusts role.
- Possess exceptional client care skills.
- Have intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Be highly motivated and able to add value to the role.
- Be able to demonstrate proactive management of matters with a minimum of supervision.
- Be a team player and able to get on with others.
- Possess networking and client development skills.
