The Licensing team at Flint Bishop acts on behalf of a number of household name clients in the leisure and hospitality sector. We are looking for another Licensing Solicitor to join the team. Ideally you will have existing experience as a Licensing Solicitor, but NQ solicitors with previous experience as a paralegal in a licensing role would also be considered.
The Licensing Solicitor will have the ability to confidentially manage your own caseload of high calibre work and clients independently. The Licensing Solicitor reports directly to the Chairman and Senior Partner who is also Head of Licensing.
Key Responsibilities- Confidentially manage your own caseload of high calibre work and clients
- Prepare Licensing applications
- Liaise with Licensing Authorities and other Responsible Authorities
- Deal with resulting queries
- Advise clients in relation to their matters
- Handle confidential information
- Conduct legal research
- Assist other team members when required
- Assist with marketing and business development efforts
You will:
- Have a minimum of a 2:1 legal degree.
- Ideally have 2 years PQE as a Licensing Solicitor; NQ solicitors who have had previous experience in a paralegal role in licensing will also be considered.
- Possess excellent client care and communication skills.
- Have a sound knowledge of IT systems and processes, such as the Microsoft suite.
- Be a hard‑working and highly‑motivated individual with the ability to work cohesively as part of a larger team.
