Mission

Turn every episode into a cultural moment. As Social Media Manager for our podcast ecosystem, you’ll build and execute social strategies that drive reach, fuel conversation, and create movement. You’ll help shape the voice of some of the most influential shows in the world scaling them through platform-native storytelling, relentless experimentation, and AI-enhanced workflows. This is a role for someone who lives and breathes content, sees the audience as currency, and believes social media should drive real business results.

Objectives

  • Launch & Scale Podcast Brands on Social: Own the day-to-day social execution across a portfolio of podcast shows from flagship IP to emerging brands. Develop always-on and campaign-based strategies tailored to each platform and show identity. Turn standout moments into viral content building a system for visibility, reach, and retention.
  • Build Vibrant, Loyal Communities: Create content that not only performs, but also builds fandom. Use AI tools to test formats, personalise content, and scale community engagement. Develop platform-specific playbooks that turn passive listeners into active participants.
  • Drive Growth Through AI-Enhanced Execution: Leverage AI to accelerate workflows from captioning and editing to trend identification and content optimisation. Track and analyse performance in real-time, evolving strategies based on what’s working. Champion automation and experimentation to drive measurable, repeatable growth.

Competencies

  • Social Media Expertise: Deep understanding of platform-specific behaviours, trends, and mechanics across TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
  • AI-Driven Execution: You’re hands-on with AI tools, using them to elevate speed, creativity, and effectiveness.
  • Creative Instincts: You know what makes short-form content resonate and can turn raw episodes into must-share moments.
  • Data-Led Thinking: You use analytics to inform decisions, not just report results.
  • Operational Speed: You can move fast without losing quality or control—adapting in real-time.
  • Collaborative Energy: You work well with producers, editors, and brand teams to amplify the story beyond the episode.
  • Podcast-Obsessed: You understand the nuance of audio-first storytelling and have a strong POV on what great podcast content looks like on social.

What Success Looks Like

Within 6–12 months, you’ll have launched, scaled, and optimised social channels for FlightStory’s podcast portfolio. You’ll drive double-digit audience growth across key platforms, with AI-optimised workflows supporting scale. You’ll create standout content series that shape conversation, drive new listeners, and build brand equity. Our shows will be seen as leaders in their categories and your social work will turn episodes into events and fans into ambassadors.
