ABOUT FLIGHTSTORY
We're a media and investment company, and our mission is to elevate the stories, build the communities and invest in visionary entrepreneurs contributing to a happier, healthier humanity.
YOUR MISSION
Your work will be reaching millions of people globally every single day across all our platforms. As Flight Studio's Senior Creative Videographer, you will be responsible for creating best-in-class video and photo content for our brand partners, marketing, product, and speaker divisions - from behind the camera through to final delivery. When it comes to the quality and reach of our campaigns, the quality of delivery starts with you. Collaborating seamlessly with our project, podcast, creative and commercial teams, you'll work within the central creative team to deliver work on time and to a high standard. You're a multidisciplinary creative who's just as comfortable setting up lighting and shooting a scene as you are cutting a fast-paced social edit or capturing stills - and you bring an eagle eye for detail whilst working in a fast-paced environment. Most importantly, you're able to work both independently and collaboratively to solve complex briefs, and you're comfortable mentoring more junior editors and setting the creative and technical bar for the team.
DAY TO DAY
- Own the shooting, editing, motion design, and audio output across our branded projects - from concept and capture through to final delivery.
- Operate as a hands-on videographer: set up and run camera, lighting, and audio equipment on shoots, ensuring technically excellent footage that's ready to elevate in the edit.
- Shoot photography as needed to support campaigns, social content, and brand deliverables.
- Deliver world-class editing across client content for brands including Adobe Express, Stan, Fiverr, Treatwell, and LinkedIn, translating brand goals into distinctive, high-performing video and photo assets.
- Set and protect the creative and technical standard across all types of content; recognizing the difference in principles between longform storytelling and shortform, social-first content, and ensuring these are reflected across all of Flight Studio's output.
- Bring a strong point of view on visual and technical craft (lighting, composition, camera work) and help raise the bar across the wider creative team.
- Collaborate and communicate with multiple teams (Creative, commercial, social, experimentation) to achieve results that elevate Flight Studio's content output.
- Own the quality, creativity, and delivery of the projects you work on, from pre-production through to final cut.
- Immerse yourself in the creative process by collaborating with designers, art directors, video editors, motion designers, animators, and strategists; finding opportunities for innovative production and design workflows and tools.
- Support and mentor junior editors/shooters where needed, sharing technical and creative expertise.
- Maintain an organized workflow by structuring project files logically, naming assets clearly, and keeping timelines clean and manageable.
- Adhere to a robust backup system, ensuring all project files and assets - including raw footage and photography - are securely stored and regularly updated on local drives and cloud platforms.
- Deliver multiple versions of edits and photo assets, formatted correctly for various platforms, ensuring all deliverables meet technical specifications and creative standards.
- Keep meticulous version control to track changes, ensure consistency, and easily reference previous iterations if required.
- Proactively manage time and deadlines across shoots and edits, flagging potential bottlenecks early and ensuring on-time delivery without compromising quality.
- Stay updated on industry-standard tools, camera/lighting equipment, and techniques to continuously improve workflows and efficiency.
WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 6+ years of experience working in branded content either in-house, in agency, or freelance, with demonstrable experience across both production (videography/photography) and post-production (editing).
- Strong technical competency with camera systems, lighting setups, and on-set/on-location production.
- A portfolio that demonstrates range across videography, photography, and social-first editing.
- Strong ability within the Adobe Creative Cloud suite, with a focus on Premiere Pro and After Effects; photo editing proficiency (e.g. Lightroom/Photoshop) a strong plus.
- Deep knowledge of social media platforms, their video/photo specifications, and emerging trends.
- Exceptional commitment to organisation and organisational tools/software to ensure working priorities are tightly managed and files are kept up to date.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities simultaneously, and lead projects from shoot day through to delivery.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to clearly communicate and effectively collaborate with others, including junior team members.
