As a Long-Form Video Editor, you’ll play a critical role in transforming raw 9–13 camera footage into episodes that hold attention for millions worldwide. These retention-driven edits are the heartbeat of the show, conversations that change how people think, live, and work. You’ll collaborate with a world-class production team, owning edits end-to-end, and continuously pushing what’s possible in long-form storytelling on YouTube.
DAY-TO-DAY
- Edit and deliver weekly podcast episodes at the highest standard, crafting narratives that drive strong retention and emotional impact.
- Cut with precision: 9–13 multicam angles, multiple audio channels, pacing that keeps millions engaged.
- Collaborate closely with senior creatives, adapting quickly to feedback and evolving creative direction.
- Contribute to pre-production outlines and packaging to ensure alignment between recording and post.
- Conduct competitor and trend research to stay ahead of long-form YouTube standards.
- Share knowledge, systems, and best practices to raise the bar across the editing team.
- Maintain project files and workflows that are seamless, scalable, and production-ready.
WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Minimum 3+ years professional editing experience, with a portfolio of long-form multicam edits (podcasts, interviews, documentaries).
- Advanced in Adobe Premiere Pro; comfortable with large multicam timelines, syncing, and file management.
- Deep instinct for pacing, rhythm, and story structure in long-form content.
- Understanding of retention curves and editing choices that maximise watch-time.
- Exceptional attention to detail, organisation, and communication skills.
- Growth mindset: proactive, solutions-oriented, and eager to experiment with new techniques.
