COMPANY: FLIGHTSTORY
REPORTING TO: DIRECTOR OF INNOVATION
ABOUT FLIGHTSTORY
We are a media company and investment fund, and we’re on a mission to elevate the stories, build the communities, and support the founders that inspire a happier, healthier humanity. We scale creator-led new media IP and operate an investment fund and venture studio.
YOUR MISSION
Where big ideas start small. More and more parents are searching for stories that help their children think boldly and believe in themselves. DOAC Kids is being created to answer the need to inspire the next generation of thinkers, builders, and dreamers. As Exec Producer you’re the architect of a new kind of children’s media one that entertains and educates in equal measure. You’re the bridge between creative direction, educational insight, and production excellence. Ensuring every story, song and moment sparks curiosity, builds emotional intelligence and belief in what’s possible. Your mission: to build the next global kids’ franchise - one that teaches children how to think, not what to think.
OUTCOMES
- Content Strategy & Production Excellence: Build a repeatable, scalable production blueprint that delivers educational and entertaining episodes to the highest creative and operational standards. Partner with creative and educational consultants to ensure all stories, songs and characters align with child development principles and global cultural sensitivity. Manage UK- and US-based teams to enable continuous, high-quality content delivery.
- Educational & Creative Integrity: Translate core DOAC themes - self-belief, purpose, resilience, failure, experimentation, emotional intelligence and curiosity - into storylines that resonate with young audiences. Develop systems to test content for engagement, comprehension and learning outcomes. Balance data-driven decisions with creative instinct to continually refine the show’s emotional and educational impact.
- Music, Animation & World-Building: Recruit, hire, and build a team of composers, AI innovators and writers, directors and art directors to create memorable, emotionally rich characters and worlds. Ensure the DOAC Kids universe is cohesive, inclusive and visually distinctive. Build playbooks for spin-offs, short-form adaptations, and licensing opportunities.
- Community & Family Engagement: Lead activations, events and experiences that reinforce belonging and the show’s educational mission. Establish audience feedback loops to refine content based on real-world impact.
- Commercial & Licensing: Partner with relevant, expert teams to develop toy, publishing and licensing opportunities that align with the show’s educational ethos. Protect the integrity of the IP while unlocking new, measurable revenue streams. Build scalable systems that ensure every partnership is on-brand, on-mission and audience-first.
- Financial & Operational Discipline: Set and manage budgets with precision, tracking ROI across production, experiments and licensing extensions. Embed financial expertise into the process so creative ambition and commercial success move in sync.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
- Operational mastery: you build repeatable blueprints that scale globally.
- Educational storytelling: you translate complex ideas into emotional, accessible narratives for kids and parents.
- Creative intuition: you know how to make learning feel magical.
- Cross-functional leadership: you align educators, creatives, and producers under one vision.
- Commercial acumen: you understand how to protect and monetise a global kids’ brand.
- Cultural intelligence: you create inclusive, globally relevant stories.
- Decision velocity: you move fast without compromising safety or quality.

- You love designing blueprints that make creativity scalable.
