This is a full-time remote role for an In-House Counsel. The In-House Counsel will provide legal guidance on matters impacting FlightHelp's operations, including compliance with aviation laws, drafting and reviewing contracts, and managing disputes with airlines. Responsibilities include conducting legal research, advising on regulatory requirements, and ensuring legal risk is mitigated in company processes. The role also involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide clear, actionable legal support.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with regulatory compliance, legal research, and understanding of aviation EU Regulation 261/2004 (EC 261) and related UK aviation passenger rights.
  • Strong drafting and negotiating skills for reviewing contracts, agreements, and legal documents.
  • Problem-solving abilities with demonstrated skills in dispute resolution and legal risk management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to provide clear legal advice across departments.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote work setting and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Proactive and detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency in legal matters.
  • Licensure to practice law in relevant jurisdiction and a Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
  • Experience in aviation law or consumer rights is a strong advantage.
