Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for an In-House Counsel. The In-House Counsel will provide legal guidance on matters impacting FlightHelp's operations, including compliance with aviation laws, drafting and reviewing contracts, and managing disputes with airlines. Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting legal research
  • Advising on regulatory requirements
  • Ensuring legal risk is mitigated in company processes
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide clear, actionable legal support

Qualifications

  • Experience with regulatory compliance, legal research, and understanding of aviation EU Regulation 261/2004 (EC 261) and related UK aviation passenger rights
  • Strong drafting and negotiating skills for reviewing contracts, agreements, and legal documents
  • Problem-solving abilities with demonstrated skills in dispute resolution and legal risk management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to provide clear legal advice across departments
  • Ability to work independently in a remote work setting and manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Proactive and detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency in legal matters
  • Licensure to practice law in relevant jurisdiction and a Juris Doctor (JD) degree
  • Experience in aviation law or consumer rights is a strong advantage
