Flight3 is looking for an Institutional Social Lead to run social strategy and content for up to three clients across fintech, AI and Web3.

Your primary platforms will be Linked In and X.

You’ll help technical companies and their leaders turn complex ideas into clear, credible content that earns attention from investors, institutions, developers, partners and industry decision-makers.

This is a senior, client-facing role.

You’ll own the plan, lead the relationship and set the editorial standard.

You’ll work directly with founders, executives and subject-matter experts to find the ideas worth publishing and turn them into content people actually want to read.

  • What you’ll own
  • Develop and own Linked In and/or X (twitter) strategies for up to three clients.
  • Define each client’s audience, positioning, editorial territories, platform role and content cadence.
  • Build social strategies around commercial and communications priorities—not vanity metrics.
  • Identify the category conversations clients should lead, contribute to or avoid.
  • Adapt your approach across institutional brands, protocols, infrastructure companies and emerging technology businesses.
  • Content and thought leadership
  • Turn complex AI, fintech and Web3 subjects into clear, authoritative social content.
  • Write Linked In posts, X posts and threads, executive commentary, campaign narratives and founder-led content.
  • Ghostwrite for founders and senior executives without making every voice sound the same.
  • Interview clients and subject-matter experts to uncover original ideas rather than repackaging generic talking points.
  • Respond intelligently to relevant news, market movements and category conversations.
  • Use AI tools where they improve research or workflow, while ensuring published work remains original, specific and fact-checked.
  • Act as the day-to-day strategic social lead for your accounts.
  • Run client meetings, present recommendations and manage approvals.
  • Challenge weak briefs and push back when an idea will not work.
  • Build trust with senior stakeholders, including founders, communications leaders and marketing teams.
  • Manage competing priorities across up to three accounts without lowering the standard of the work.
  • Work closely with internal strategy, creative, design and production teams.
  • Performance
  • Track performance weekly and explain what the results mean.
  • Identify which narratives, formats and voices are building meaningful attention.
  • Recommend what to continue, change or stop.
  • Connect social performance to reputation, audience growth, share of conversation and business objectives.
  • Turn reporting into clear decisions rather than a collection of platform metrics.
  • What we’re looking for
  • At least five years of experience in social media, content or digital communications.
  • Meaningful agency experience, including direct responsibility for multiple client relationships.
  • Demonstrable depth on Linked In and X. You understand how audiences behave differently on each.
  • Excellent writing and editorial judgement, particularly for B2B, executive and thought-leadership content.
  • The ability to understand technical material quickly and explain it without flattening the substance.
  • Strong knowledge of at least one of fintech, financial services, AI or Web3—and the ability to learn adjacent categories.
  • Experience interviewing or ghostwriting for founders, executives or technical experts.
  • Confidence presenting strategic recommendations and challenging senior stakeholders constructively.
  • Strong organisational skills and experience managing multiple accounts, calendars and approval processes.
  • A practical understanding of analytics and the ability to turn performance data into recommendations.

We don’t expect equal expertise across every emerging-technology category.

We care more about intellectual curiosity, sound judgement and evidence that you can become credible quickly.

  • Useful, but not essential
  • Experience working with regulated financial or institutional organisations.
  • Knowledge of Web3 infrastructure, protocols, wallets or developer ecosystems.
  • Experience supporting corporate communications, executive positioning or reputation programmes.
  • Familiarity with social listening and reporting tools.
  • Experience directing designers, editors or other creative specialists.
  • Experience contributing to new-business pitches.
  • What success looks like

Within your first six months, you will have

  • Built a clear social strategy and editorial system for each of your accounts.
  • Developed trusted working relationships with senior client stakeholders.
  • Established distinct, credible voices for the brands and executives you support.
  • Improved the quality and consistency of content across Linked In and X.
  • Identified repeatable content themes that generate meaningful engagement from the right audiences.
  • Created a reporting rhythm that helps clients make better decisions.
  • Raised the standard of institutional and technical social work across Flight3.
  • Hybrid working: two days in the London office and three at home, or fully remote if you are based outside London.
  • 35 days off, including 14 company-wide closure days.
  • Personal development budget and a defined growth path within Flight3.
  • Conference and learning budget.
  • Access to leading Web3 events, launches and industry networks.
  • Internal learning sessions with specialists across strategy, creative and emerging technology.
