FCM Meetings & Events is looking for a Solution Design Consultant to play a pivotal role in shaping exceptional meetings and events programmes for global customers.

Working alongside sales, account management, technology, operations, and client stakeholders, you'll transform business requirements into strategic solutions that drive measurable results.

This is an exciting opportunity to influence customer success, champion innovation, and help organisations optimise their meetings and events programmes globally.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design global Statements of Requirements (SORs) for multinational and enterprise clients, ensuring scalable and customised programme solutions.
  • Work consultatively with prospective and existing customers to understand business needs and recommend strategic Meetings & Events solutions.
  • Partner with Sales, Account Management, Operations, Technology, and Product teams to align solutions with client expectations and business goals.
  • Develop optimisation plans and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance customer programmes and maximise value.
  • Support RFPs, bids, and sales processes through solution design expertise and onboarding recommendations.
  • Lead solution workshops, conference calls, onboarding discussions, and stakeholder meetings.
  • Identify commercial opportunities and value-added enhancements throughout the client journey.
  • Manage onboarding timelines, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder expectations using project management best practices.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and client-facing materials throughout the solution design process.
  • Communicate regional capabilities, technology solutions, and programme recommendations across global teams and customers.
  • Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and accessible work environment where all Flighties feel welcomed, respected, and supported to thrive.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Demonstrated experience designing solutions and requirements documentation (SOR or equivalent) for multinational or enterprise clients.
  • Experience supporting RFP, bid, and consultative sales processes.
  • Strong knowledge of end-to-end Meetings & Events processes.
  • Working knowledge of event sourcing platforms, attendee management systems, reconciliation tools, reporting solutions, and payment technologies
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise event management platforms such as Hubli, Cvent, or similar technologies.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, project management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with virtual and hybrid event platforms (preferred).
  • Understanding of corporate travel programme integrations and Meetings & Events ecosystems (preferred).
  • Knowledge of UK GDPR and delegate data privacy obligations (preferred).
  • Degree qualification (preferred).
  • Project Management certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, Lean, or Six Sigma (preferred).
  • Industry certification such as CMP or CMM (preferred).
