The Role The role of the Financial Accounting Team Leader is to handle end‑to‑end financial accounting for Flight Centre UK, including General Ledger Close Process management, monthly reporting, and supporting end‑of‑financial‑year and half‑year audits. The focus is on regulatory and compliance reporting. You will be the Team Leader responsible for accounting across all divisions of the Flight Centre UK business, covering cash, debtors, creditors, revenue recognition, wages, expenses, and management fees. The role requires strong financial control, diligence, proactive problem‑solving, and a customer‑centric mindset.
Requirements
- 5+ years of working experience in a similar role with a minimum of 3+ years in an audit role
- Experience in process controls for new systems
- Experience leading a finance team
- A self‑starter, able to work independently, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines
- High attention to detail
- Advanced time‑management and prioritisation skills
- Advanced experience using the MS suite in a commercial environment (Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI)
Qualifications
- CA/CPA/CAA/ACCA qualification or another relevant post‑graduate qualification
