About this opportunity
The Commercial Air Manager is responsible for developing long-term partnerships with key airlines, representing Flight Centre Travel Group (FCTG) commercially and operationally to these partners. Responsibilities include negotiating commercial deals, securing competitive fare content, and optimizing performance with each airline in the portfolio. The role also involves close collaboration with Revenue Management and Brands to ensure alignment with our preferred partner strategy and promotion. This role will also work closely with FCTG counterparts in other markets/regions to ensure close alignment on our global air strategy.
Requirements:
- Sales Experience: Demonstrate a strong sales background, with experience of working with strategic partners to drive performance.
- Strong Analytical Skills: Demonstrate ability to work with deal models, using MS Excel and other data/modelling tools e.g. Power BI to model, negotiate and maximise deal returns.
- Attention to Detail: Show a high level of attention to detail.
- Negotiation: Must have experience in negotiation in a previous role.
- Relationship Building: Represent FCTG\’s needs to maximize air distribution while maintaining commercial partnerships.
- Self-Managing: Ability to work under limited supervision.
- Customer Service: Build relationships and go out of the way to exceed expectations. Always maintain the customer at the centre of every decision.
- Team Player: Communicate effectively with team members and collaborate closely.
- Multi-Tasking: Competently juggle several responsibilities and partnerships.
- Highly Organized: Capable of stringent time management.
- Business Acumen: Understand complex air deals and their impact on accruals and debtors.
- Excel Knowledge: Proficient in complex formulas, V-lookup, and pivot tables or a willingness to learn quickly.
