About the role

We are seeking a proactive, resilient, organised and driven HR Officer (Mandarin Speaking) to join our growing team. Reporting to the HR Manager, the HR Officer will primarily focus on recruitment and talent acquisition, supporting hiring across the UK market for Chinese speaking roles. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious HR professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and wants to make a direct impact on business growth through talent acquisition. The successful candidate will take ownership of multiple live vacancies, build strong talent pipelines, and help deliver an exceptional candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process for a variety of roles across multiple business functions.
  • Source, screen, and assess candidates through job boards, LinkedIn, referrals, and direct outreach.
  • Conduct initial interviews and candidate evaluations.
  • Coordinate interviews and manage communication between candidates and hiring managers.
  • Build and maintain talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs.
  • Support recruitment activities for Chinese-speaking positions within the UK.
  • Ensure an efficient and positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process.
  • Track recruitment activity and maintain accurate records.
  • Support employer branding initiatives and recruitment marketing activities.

HR Support

  • Provide general HR administrative support as required, including maintaining HR records, preparing documentation, and taking notes during employee relations meetings.
  • Support wider HR projects and initiatives as the business continues to grow.
  • Take on additional HR responsibilities as the HR function evolves and business needs develop.

Requirements

Essential

  • Right to work in the UK without sponsorship.
  • 2-4 years' experience within recruitment, talent acquisition, HR, or a similar people-focused role.
  • Proven experience managing recruitment processes and sourcing candidates.
  • Fluent Mandarin Chinese and English, both written and spoken.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple vacancies and competing priorities.
  • Proactive, resourceful, and comfortable working within a fast-growing business environment.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Desirable

  • Experience recruiting for multilingual or international teams.
  • Experience supporting recruitment across both UK and international markets.
  • CIPD qualification or working towards CIPD certification.
  • Experience within technology, digital, startup, or high-growth businesses.
