Zymix is a Gen-Z social super-app launching in the UK and Europe — combining instant messaging, short video, social, and payments in one platform. We're building the cultural home for the next generation of UK and European Gen-Z, starting with major cities and university communities. We're pre-launch, fast-moving, and looking for events marketers who can make things happen on the ground — not just in decks.

The Role

We're hiring a Marketing Events Manager to lead the end-to-end execution of Zymix's flagship activations across the UK. You'll own the operational craft of our events — from venue and supplier sourcing to on-site delivery and post-event reporting — making sure every activation feels distinctly Zymix and delivers against campaign objectives. You'll work hand-in-hand with the Senior Marketing Campaign Manager (your direct manager) and partner with Social, PR, Content & KOL, and external agencies to bring campaigns to life in London, Manchester, and other priority cities. This is a hands‑on execution role for someone who genuinely loves the operational side of events — sourcing the right venue, managing the run sheet, solving problems on the day.

What You'll Own

  • End-to-end event delivery — Take activations from brief to live execution: venues, suppliers, production, logistics, run sheets, on‑site management, breakdown, and post-event reporting.
  • City-level activations — Deliver flagship activations in London, Manchester, and other Tier-1 UK cities — pop‑ups, launch events, sponsored moments, cultural tie‑ins, brand experiences.
  • University activations — Get on the ground at UK universities to deliver on‑campus events, freshers' week activations, student society partnerships, and student creator gatherings. You'll personally be at the campus, working with student bodies and venues, not just briefing from the office.
  • Supplier & venue management — Build and manage Zymix's network of trusted venues, production partners, talent agencies, and freelancers. Negotiate hard, deliver on budget.
  • Brand experience craft — Ensure every event reflects Zymix's brand standards — visual identity, tone, attendee experience. Sweat the details that make an event feel premium vs. forgettable.
  • Performance & reporting — Track event KPIs (attendance, content output, leads, social reach, cost‑per‑attendee), produce post-event reports with honest learnings, and feed insights back into future campaigns.

What You'll Bring

Must‑haves

  • 4+ years in events marketing or brand activations, ideally at a consumer‑facing brand.
  • Direct experience at a social, consumer-tech, or app‑first company — you understand how events connect to product and growth, not just brand awareness.
  • Hands‑on experience delivering large-scale activations in London, Manchester, or comparable UK cities — you've personally run the show on event day.
  • Hands‑on, on‑the‑ground experience running university / Gen‑Z student events in the UK — you've personally been on campus delivering activations, working directly with student unions, societies, and university venues (freshers, society partnerships, campus pop‑ups, student creator events).
  • Strong brand‑building instinct: you can tell the difference between an event that builds brand and one that just fills a venue.
  • Trackable results: you know how to set event KPIs, instrument tracking (QR codes, registration flows, post‑event surveys, content capture), and report meaningfully — not just attendee headcount.
  • Experience managing event budgets of ÂŁ100k+ per activation and juggling multiple suppliers and timelines.
  • Calm under pressure on event day. Nothing breaks you.

Nice‑to‑haves

  • Experience working on fashion industry events — runway shows, fashion week activations, brand collabs with fashion houses, or events at fashion‑led venues.
  • Experience launching a consumer app or new brand into the UK market.

How We'll Know You're the One

  • You can walk us through an event you've personally delivered — from venue scouting to post‑event report — with real numbers and real learnings.
  • You've handled an event that nearly went wrong and can tell us how you saved it.
  • You can tell the difference between a ÂŁ50k event that felt like ÂŁ200k and a ÂŁ200k event that felt like ÂŁ50k — and explain why.

Why Zymix

  • Build a category‑defining product for UK and European Gen‑Z from day one.
  • Real ownership — pre‑launch means your events shape how the brand is first experienced.
  • Small senior team, direct access to leadership, fast decision‑making.
  • Competitive salary (DOE) + benefits package.
