We are looking for an experienced Commercial Manager to support and scale the commercial foundations of our platform business. This role will own key commercial activities across pricing, contracts, partner negotiations, procurement, and revenue optimisation. You will work closely with product, finance, legal, and operations teams, as well as external partners and vendors, to ensure that commercial decisions are well-structured, commercially sound, and aligned with long-term business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Commercial Strategy & Revenue
- Develop and implement pricing models across products and services, including subscriptions, transaction-based fees, and partner commissions.
- Monitor and optimise revenue performance, margins, and unit economics across business lines.
- Support commercial planning, forecasting, and business case development for new initiatives and partnerships.
- Contracts & Commercial Governance
- Own the end-to-end commercial contract lifecycle, from negotiation through execution and renewal.
- Develop and maintain standard commercial terms, pricing schedules, and service frameworks.
- Identify and manage commercial risk in collaboration with legal and compliance teams.
- Support the resolution of commercial issues and disputes with partners or suppliers.
- Partner & Vendor Management
- Lead commercial negotiations with strategic partners and vendors to secure favourable and sustainable terms.
- Structure commercial agreements, including revenue sharing and performance-based arrangements.
- Support long-term partner relationships while maintaining strong commercial discipline.
- Procurement & Commercial Operations
- Oversee procurement processes, including vendor selection, onboarding, and cost management.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimisation and operational efficiency.
- Support the design and improvement of commercial processes such as quoting, invoicing, and renewals.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Act as a commercial point of contact across product, finance, legal, and operations teams.
- Ensure alignment between commercial decisions and wider business priorities.
- Prepare clear commercial analysis and reporting for senior leadership.
Requirements:
- 5β8 yearsβ experience in commercial management, contracts, business operations, or related roles.
- Strong commercial acumen, including pricing, negotiation, contract structures, and risk management.
- Proven experience leading complex negotiations with partners or vendors.
- Strong analytical and financial skills, with experience building business cases and forecasts.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, evolving environments.
Nice to Have:
- Experience in platform, fintech, payments, or consumer technology businesses.
- Familiarity with the UK or European commercial and regulatory landscape.
- Additional language skills are a plus, particularly European languages or Mandarin.
- Experience working in high-growth or startup environments.
