We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Band 7 Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic team in London. This role is pivotal in delivering high-quality occupational therapy services within our NHS trust. You will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate therapy programmes for patients, promoting their independence and enhancing their quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical, psychological, and social needs.
- Develop and implement individualised therapy plans in collaboration with patients, their families, and the multidisciplinary team.
- Provide expert clinical advice and support to less experienced therapists and support staff.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of therapy interventions, making necessary adjustments to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in accordance with trust policies and professional standards.
- Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and clinical governance activities.
- Contribute to the development and review of clinical policies and procedures.
- Engage in continuous professional development and maintain registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent qualification.
- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Completion of NHS mandatory training.
- Proven experience working as an Occupational Therapist within the NHS or a similar healthcare setting.
- Excellent clinical skills and knowledge relevant to the role.
