Role Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled General Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic team in London. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality occupational therapy services to our patients. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' occupational performance and develop tailored intervention plans.
- Implement evidence-based occupational therapy interventions to enhance patients' functional abilities.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of therapy interventions and adjust plans as necessary.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in accordance with trust policies.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to the training of junior staff and students.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist.
- Relevant degree or diploma in Occupational Therapy.
- Completion of NHS mandatory training.
- Proven experience working as an Occupational Therapist within the NHS or a similar healthcare setting.
Desirable Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
- Experience in specific areas of occupational therapy practice (e.g., neurological, mental health, paediatrics) is advantageous.
